Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity program evolves into 21Hundred
The Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity program has unveiled 21Hundred, a studio for race and the future.
Chief Executive Officer of 2Hundred, Sebabatso Manoeli-Lesame, said: "Building on the foundations of Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity (AFRE), 21Hundred is home to visionaries designing and prototyping futures beyond anti-Black racism. We seek to seed a movement of individuals, ideas and innovations to solve, dissolve and resolve the problem of the colour line by the year 2100 — the horizon from which we derive our name.
"In the coming months, we will share a series of opportunities to engage with 21Hundred’s ideas and work, including a new call for AFRE fellows and openings in our team. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our new website."
21Hundred Board Chair, Cedric Brown, said: "21Hundred marks a new, exciting chapter in a journey that began nearly a decade ago with AFRE, nurturing a global community of accomplished and determined leaders collectively moving us towards a fairer and flourishing future. My excitement about 21Hundred springs from my own experiences as a 2019 Fellow and interactions in the broader Atlantic Fellows community."
