Get involved in the Atlantic Institute's climate action plan to reduce impacts

Published on April 18, 2023

Brian Kamanzi, a Global Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity and energy policy researcher from South Africa, is compiling a report that will make recommendations to the Atlantic Institute Governing Board board on how we can improve efforts to respond to the urgencies of climate change. His work will support the development of a climate change action plan for the Atlantic Institute.

As part of his work, he is conducting a consultation with Fellows to explore how climate change has been addressed during your Atlantic fellowship to date. It is also an opportunity to put forward suggestions to inform the Atlantic Institute's future work: please respond here

He will be producing a report of the recommendations for the board by June 2023 and would like to convene several feedback sessions with Fellows to reflect back on some of their responses to date. The sessions will also be an opportunity for sharing any ideas you might have for future initiatives for improving how we mitigate and adapt our activities in light of the climate crisis.

He is offering sessions on Wednesday, April 19: 4am EST // 10am CAT // 5pm AEST
And on Thursday, April 30.

Please email Brian, who will find a time that is convenient for both of you.
