Seeking your views on a new partnership with the Global Outbreak And Response Network (GOARN)
GOARN is a World Health Organization global network of 323 institutions that aims to deliver rapid and effective support to prevent and control infectious disease outbreaks and public health emergencies when requested. A support team based in Geneva, Switzerland, and across WHO Regional Offices facilitates the day-to-day running of the network and coordinates outbreak response missions, network activities and communications for GOARN. As the Atlantic Institute has been invited to join GOARN, we are seeking your views. Membership of the network would enable Global Atlantic Fellows with relevant knowledge and experience to:
- Help mobilize support for infectious disease outbreaks
- Participate in risk assessments
- Join research projects
- Apply to participate in GOARN training programs
- Apply to participate in the GOARN Fellowship program
- Participate in a Global Health Emergency Corps
To establish how interested you are in this opportunity, we would be grateful if Global Atlantic Fellows would complete this short questionnaire.
The deadline for responses is Jan. 8, 2024.
For more information, please contact Katherine Bond, Partnerships Lead, Atlantic Institute.
